Main & Mill introduces new beer, new artist, new label – all with a PUNCH

Last year, Main & Mill Brewing Co. began its Artist Spotlight Series, based on the brewing team’s love of nostalgic movies, games, books, music—”whatever makes you think of growing up when things seemed much easier,” said the owner and head brewer Denny Foster.

They wanted to bring nostalgic-driven fun to their labels in a way that allows the artists to pick the muses. “Our process has been pretty simple,” explains Foster. “We want to use what they create and inspire a beer that we feel fits that label as perfectly as possible.”

The initiative kicked off with the Rocco Series, featuring Boston-based artist Joe Dellagatta, whose goal was to create designs riffing on some of his favorite games as a kid. The second installment in the Artists Spotlight Series, The Jaws Series, is the work of New York-based artist Andrew Krahnke and will feature a dozen labels telling the story of the great white shark.

Now, the latest work from the Artist Series is being released, featuring artwork by St. Louis artist Annie Rieker.

“With Annie’s use of bright and vivid visuals, in combination with her name “Knockout Punch,” we were immediately drawn to a Hawaiian Punch-like fruit beer with a deep red hue and a skating rink beverage kinda vibe,” wrote the brewery on Instagram. “Loaded with pineapples, mangoes, cherries, and pomegranates, it’s a beer meant to enjoy sitting on the carpeted skating rink benches or in the warming weather.

The beer ?? KNOCKOUT PUNCH is a sour, and packs, well a nice punch at 8.2% ABV.

The beer can be ordered online and must be picked up at the Barrelworks location during the set pick-up hours.
