One problem with growlers is that once you open it, you pretty much have to consume that beer that day, or perhaps the next, but any longer, you’ll lose that draft beer quality. A perplexing problem for certain, but one American entrepreneurs have sought to tackle head on. One such solution was born right here in St. Louis.
It was a big deal to move a festival as large at the St. Louis Brewers Guild’s Heritage Festival from Forest Park to the Arch grounds, so my first reaction is this: it was the right decision.
A band of craft beer focused bars, breweries, restaurants and homebrew shops have joined forces to assemble a week full of feature special release beers, tap takeovers, special Missouri beers, beer education and other events.
The Scarecrow would be proud.
