A new collaboration should introduce Narrow Gauge Brewing to a brand new beer drinking audience, thanks to a bit of creativity. The brewery and its partners The Wine and Cheese Place, and the fast-casual, fried chicken restaurant Chicken Out announced the trio will offer happy hour specials at the restaurant along with a new beer, Chicken Out Pils.
The Beer
The Chicken Out Pils is a crisp Kellerbier, a German-style lager with malt complexities and citrus notes. The brewers at Narrow Gauge crafted the pilsner with fried chicken in mind and utilized fruit-forward, tropical hops, including New Zealand’s “Wai-iti” hops and German “Callista” hops. Four packs of the Chicken Out Pils will also be available for purchase in 16 oz cans for $12.99 at The Wine and Cheese Place (all locations) and Chicken Out locations.
Flappy Hour
Chicken Out, which is from the team behind Sugarfire Smokehouse and Hi-Pointe Drive-In, is An establishment that has never shied away from a good pun, thus their new Flappy Hour, officially begins Monday, April 18. The weekday happy hour features chicken sandwiches and tender combo meals and a variety of “flappetizers” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“We have always been proud of being a chef-driven, fast-casual restaurant that serves some of the best fried chicken in town,” says co-owner Ben Hillman. “We want Flappy Hour to be a place in time where families can come on a casual night and for a post-work pickup. Fried chicken was my mom’s favorite food. I used to get it on my way home from school growing up. Everyone leaves happy.”
Chicken Out will offer guests $1 off of all beer purchases during Flappy Hour.
