FREE TICKETS! | We’re offering two free tix to Old Bakery’s 3rd anniversary party!

It just seems like yesterday.

One of my first articles posted on this blog back in 2015, was about the new brewery in Alton, Illinois. The brewery, Old Bakery Beer Company was unique in that it was the only certified organic brewery in the St. Louis area.  Since then the brewery and restaurant have grown to be a staple of the Alton community and their beer is now distributed throughout Southern Illinois and the St. Louis metro.

Now Old Bakery is turning 3 and it’s time to celebrate.

Old Bakery has partnered with the Piasa Palisades Chapter of the Sierra Club to bring
you the Buzz’d Beer Festival – their 3rd Anniversary Festival on Sunday, March 4 from 1 PM – 5 PM.

The festival will be the first chance for people to taste The Old Bakery Beer Company’s 3rd Anniversary Beer, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Doppelbock with Sweet Cherry Juice – the brewery’s nod to the classic Manhattan cocktail.

But, like any good brewery party in this town, the guest list will include plenty of your other favorite local breweries, cidermakers, & distilleries from both Missouri and Illinois including:

2nd Shift, Appleknocker Cider, Augusta, Earthbound, Main and Mill, Recess, Route 51, Schlafly, Silver Tree Spirits, Six Mile Bridge, St. Nicholas, Stubborn German, Two Plumbers, Urban Chestnut, Alpha, The Hop Brewery, White Rooster Farmhouse Brewery, 4 Hands, 4204 Main Street, Rockwell Beer Company, Crown Valley, Cathedral Square, Narrow Gauge, and  Stumpy’s.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 day of and include a commemorative glass.

Funky Brew will be spinning old-school blues, soul, & funk all afternoon, and there will be buzz’d food available for purchase. The festival focuses on beers that include fruit, flowers, & honey as part of an effort to educate & bring attention to the necessity and plight of pollinators!

The Piasa Palisades chapter of the Sierra Club will be on site providing education & interactive
opportunities related to pollinators and will be receiving a portion of the ticket sales.

Tickets are available now at the brewery and at http://buzzdbeer.brownpapertickets.com
