At the end of June we reported of a unique collaboration coming from four of St. Louis leading local breweries. But not just any four, but rather four we now affectionately refer to as the Class of 2011.
That was the year, we believe, that began what we call the “St. Louis brewing renaissance.” It’s the year we saw the emergence of four new breweries, born in the shadow of the legendary Anheuser Busch and built around the genius of the Schlafly model.
The Class of 2011 is made up of Urban Chestnut, 4 Hands, The Civil Life and Perennial, arguably four of our town’s most prominent local brewing operations, each with their own distinct style and vision.
In celebration of all four breweries 5th anniversaries, they came together to forge 4 new beers, kicking off with The Class of 2011. Now these beers are ready to debut during St. Louis Craft Beer Week.

On Wednesday, August 3rd from 5-9pm new beer loves can enjoy a free shuttle service sponsored by Crooked Craft Tours between the Class of 2011 tasting rooms to try each collaboration.
Urban Chestnut: India Brown Ale–with yeast from Civil Life, El Dorado & Galaxy hops from 4 Hands, flaked oats & chocolate spelt from Perennial
4 Hands: Pilsner–with yeast from UCBC
Perennial: Dry-Hopped Kolsch–Galaxy hops from 4 Hands, Mandarina Bavaria hops from UCBC
Civil Life: Double American IPA–more details coming soon!
Crooked Craft Tours will be providing free transportation all night from 5 to 9pm with their shuttle buses. The buses will be running continuously, so people can jump on whenever they want to head to the next brewery.
