Last year I really tried to get a handle on Sours. I know that there are some really great things happening in St. Louis in regards to sours, but admittedly, I’ve had a hard time with them. But 2018 is my year.
Why is this important? For me, it’s because, while I know one person cannot love everything they drink, it is possible and much more fun to be able to appreciate everything they drink. So, rediscovering a huge new style of beers makes drinking them and writing about them much more enjoyable.
Now, our friends at Global Brewing Brew House in Edwardsville and O’Fallon are hosting a Sour Night that I plan on using as my springboard to better understanding this classification of a brew.

As for some standouts, I asked Patrick Hughes, Craft Brand Manager at Global Brew for some suggestions so I could have a plan walking in.
This will also be the first time Global Brew will pour draft of Love Child, which is a staff favorite.
They will be offering flights where you can pick 5 x 5oz samples of the offerings you’d like to try.
