Hop In The City returns in a haze!
A real, honest to-god-beer-festival is set to return to St. Louis and it should be a hoppy, hazy affair. Schlafly’s Hop in the City, is back as “Lil’ HOP in The City” with a few lil’ changes this year.
“Lil’ HOP in The City”
The event will take place at the historic Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust St, St. Louis, MO 63103) on September 18, 2021 from noon-5 p.m. This year’s “Lil’ HOP in the City” will look a “lil” different, offering a slightly different take from years past to accommodate Covid-19 safety. No tickets are required to attend this event, and there will be exclusive festival beer, food trucks, live music and year-round beer styles for purchase.
No Tickets Needed
This year, entry is free and attendees will purchase their preferred beers in individual servings of Schlafly’s 14 beer styles, including three exclusive HOP in the City festival beers. In years past, the ticketed event provided guests’ access to tasting samples of more than 40 beer styles on-site.
The Beer
Schlafly will offer exclusive festival beers for purchase this year, including: Haze in the City, featuring Eclipse, Citra and Mosaic hops, Haze in the City Cara Cara Orange and Haze in the City Pineapple beers. Favorite year-round Schlafly styles will also be available for purchase: Northeast IPA, Triple IPA, Raspberry Hefeweizen, Blackberry Sour Oak, KellerPils, Hoppy Lager, Pale Ale, Schlafly IPA, Summer Lager, Oktoberfest and Park Lager.
“It’s been 18 months since we’ve welcomed guests to our brewpubs for any of Schlafly’s popular beer festivals,” says CEO of Schlafly Beer Fran Caradonna. “Although this year’s HOP in the City will be slightly different, we’re eager to welcome new friends and community members. For the first time, some of St. Louis’ favorite food trucks will be on-site and we’re thrilled to invite people back to the Tap Room to enjoy great beer, music, food and fun outdoors.”
Food and beer will be available for purchase throughout the outdoor festival as well as inside of the Schlafly Tap Room. The Tap Room’s full menu will be available inside the restaurant in addition to food trucks outdoors on the festival grounds. Participating food trucks include Tuk Tuk Thai, Sugarfire 64 Smoke House, Balkan Treat Box and Poptimism.
