Pick your party with Schlafly’s newest POTUS collection

Just in time for the next heavyweight bout between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton at Washington University in St. Louis on October 9th, Schlafly Beer is launching a special election-inspired beer with POTUS, a limited-release American lager. Weighing in at  5.0% ABV, it’s described as a light-bodied, clean lager features Bullion and Tettnang hops as well as corn for local flavor and character.

The beer will be on tap at both the Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Ave.) and Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust St.) starting Friday, September 30, as well as a select number of on premise bars and restaurants in St. Louis.

And to show your party affiliation, you’re invited to pour your POTUS into a specially created candidate-affiliated glassware.  Can’t make up your mind?  You can also choose to raise the ominous black pint glass and just support local beer.

On debate night, Schlafly Bottleworks will host a ‘Pints for POTUS’ viewing party. The brewpub will offer a special, complimentary Americana menu with classics from hot dogs, burgers and apple pie from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m with a beverage purchase. Guests can stay to watch the debates in both the bar as well as the private event space of the Crown Room, starting at 8 p.m.

Guests will be able to keep their party glassware on this night only with the purchase of a pint of POTUS. For guests who’d prefer to watch the debate from the comforts of their home, pick up a growler of POTUS with two glasses for only $15, a $6.50 savings.

POTUS and the glassware will be available until the election or while supplies last. The glassware will also be available for separate purchase for $4 in the brewpub retail areas.
