New craft beer pub opening in St. Charles Monday

2017 was a very good year for craft beer in St. Charles, with several brewers opening in the area. Now, we’ve learned that the good fortune of beer drinkers is continuing to grow with the announcement that a new brewpub is opening its doors next week.

Today, Growler USA announced it was opening a new location complete with 100 taps and a full menu. The doors will open Monday, February 19th at 3833 Elm Street, with a grand opening celebration planned or next month.

Growler USA pours nothing but American-made craft beer and will feature plenty of our favorite locals including 4 Hands, Perennial, Civil Life, Old Bakery, 2nd Shift and Urban Chestnut.

In addition to the craft beer, the pub will serve hard cider, red and white wine, and cold brewed coffee on nitro from St. Louis’ own Kaldi’s.

The new location is owned and operated by a local husband and wife entrepreneurial team, Jody and Nich Hester. The two are opening the franchise, allowing Nick to follow his true passion -beer.  A home brewer for nearly 20 years, we’re glad he’s decided to bring his business sense to creating a new place for us all to drink beer.

“Beer has always been a passion of mine and a big aspect of St. Charles culture,” said Hester.  “When we came across Grower USA, we immediately knew we had found a business that fit perfectly with our community and is a concept we could get behind from a business perspective.”

Growler USA will open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday’s and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday’s.
