Roth Wine, Templeton Rye and War Hammer, taste them all Friday

They’re calling it an “enhanced tasting.”  Enhanced indeed.

Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Forsyth location, The Wine and Cheese Place is hosting an Open House with a tasting menu that is, shall we say, taking it to the next level.

Roth Heritage Red…$16.98
The 2013 Heritage is a beauty. Supple, well-integrated, velvety tannins, sweet black and red currant fruit, some cedar wood, earth and spice are all present in this full-bodied, complex, red. Although Bordeaux-inspired, the ripeness and purity of fruit clearly suggest Northern California. The color is opaque ruby purple, and the wine full-bodied and approachable now, although it should drink well for at least 20 or more years. Rated 92/100 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
