St. Louis brewery join global movement with Brave Noise beer

If you follow beer Twitter or beer Insta, you may remember the flurry of stories and posts made after Brienne Allan posted a simple question on her Instagram story:

“Have you ever experienced sexism in the beer industry?”

The post quickly became the inquiry that sent shockwaves throughout craft beer, subsequently inspiring a BEVOLUTION.

To keep the momentum going; to honor those who have spoken out about their gender discrimination, racism, sexual assault, and harassment; and to bring further awareness to the issues that women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ individuals face in craft beer, the group Brave Noise began advocating for safe spaces and inclusive environments by requesting breweries be transparent with their policies and commit to long-term work.

This led to an invitation for breweries around the nation to join them in a collaborative brew titled “Brave Noise.”

This week, 4handsbrewingco @BraveNoiseBeer, announced their collab beer is now available at the brewery.

Brave Noise

This hazy pale ale is 4.5% ABV and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to @SafeConnections, an incredible St. Louis-based organization whose mission is to reduce the impact and incidence of relationship violence and sexual assault through education, crisis intervention, counseling, and support services. They’re led by Cynthia Danley, Hannah Moore, and Jackie Karalunas.
