The three things I love most about craft beer are:
- The beer itself
- The incredible art that I see on labels.
- The amazing names these talented beer makers give their products.
I love the names so much that as I type this, I’ve commissioned a local writer to craft for me a top 10 of the best beer names from ‘314’ breweries. That said, I have full confidence that 2nd Shift’s newest creation could make the list.
Today, 2nd Shift Brewing Company announced they’ve begun bottling a special, one-off batch of ‘Cat Spit Oatmeal Milk Stout with Vanilla.’ The total haul will be 30 cases packaged with Lochhead Madagascar vanilla beans. Hmmm, Oatmeal, Milk, Vanilla.. could this be the foundation of another perfect beer and ice cream float?
The original ‘Cat Spit Stout’ is described by 2nd Shift as “Coffeey, roasty, blah blah blah, it’s a oatmeal milk stout, just drink it, it’s really good.” This brew is released November through April, so be sure you check the label for which ‘Cat Spit’ you’re getting.
Cat Spit Oatmeal Milk Stout will be released to us thirsty beer lovers next week.
