Perennial releasing 2023 Sump Coffee Stout, new variant this week

If you’re a fan of Perennial Artisan Ales as well as coffee stouts, here’s some news for you. Perennial is releasing this year’s Sump Coffee Stout on Thursday at 4 p.m.

The annual collaboration between the brewery and the south St. Louis coffeehouse, Sump Coffee, and its owner, Scott Carey is one I look forward to every year. This year the imperial stout is made from coffee grown in Zumba, Ecuador roasted by Sump Coffee, with chocolate, caramel, and nutty notes. 11.5% ABV.

This year’s variant is made with coffee beans from Las Lajas, Costa Rica roasted by Sump Coffee, with notes of blueberry, vanilla, papaya, and concord grape. 11.5%

As it was last year, Sump Coffee Stout as well as the variant will be available in two-pack cans of each, at the brewery beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m.
