Some terrible news to report. The Craft Beer Cellar in Clayton is closing for good. The beer shop made the announcement today on Facebook.
We’re writing to you today with some awful news. Our landlord at our Clayton store is giving us no choice but to close down. After some rough negotiations, we have decided that it’s no longer feasible to operate the Craft Beer Cellar Clayton store.
The last day for beer at CBC will be May 31st, but they may close up shop sooner depending on inventory.
I will always cherish CBC and the team there. For years, when my kids attended Clayton High School, I would wait out basketball and baseball practices at CBC, where I’d set up shop, write and drink beer. I learned a lot from the fine folks who worked there and always felt very at home in their place.
To go out with a bang, they are offering customers 50% off books and glassware with any purchase of beer (no limits). If you have gift cards, now is the time to use them.
Thank you for everything, St. Louis! We love you and we will miss you dearly.
