4 Hands releasing new hazy pale ale State Wide to help Missouri’s homeless heroes

4 Hands Brewing, never ceases to amaze me. Not only have they marked their place on the regional craft beer map and beyond, but they have also made an indelible mark as one of the true leaders in the city of St. Louis, to work to benefit others. The City Wide Mission donates thousands of dollars a year to the St. Louis community in partnership with over 20 area non-profit organizations.

Now, they are ready to push harder, with yet a new philanthropic effort that pushes their efforts outside of St. Louis and across Missouri.

The Beer

State WideIntroducing State Wide. The new hazy pale ale with notes of citrus and stone fruit will join City Wide as another 4 Hands beer that gives back to the community. A portion of every beer sold becomes a donation Veterans Community Project (VCP).  VCP supports every man and woman who took the oath for our country.

According to the brewery, Using Kansas City as a blueprint, VCP Village—St. Louis is a specialized community of 50 tiny homes with on-site, wraparound support services designed to equip at-risk and homeless veterans with the tools needed to return to a stable, prosperous, independent life. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer.

“We have always strived to be an organization with a purpose,” said Kevin Lemp, Founder and CEO of 4 Hands Brewing Co. “When we launched City Wide in 2016, we found our voice. We are excited to expand our philanthropic voice with the release of State Wide Hazy Pale Ale in partnership with VCP.”

“Community is a central part of our name for a reason,” said Bryan Meyer, Co-Founder and CEO of Veterans Community Project. “VCP is built on the support and strength of community partners like 4 Hands who join our mission to serve those who serve us. VCP Village will provide homes with dignity so more St. Louis veterans, and veterans across Missouri, can live with honor.”

In addition, 4 Hands is collaborating with a local artist to create a series of State Wide t-shirts. The new beer, created by Jason Spencer of Killer Napkins, represents the Missouri flag. Follow 4 Hands Brewing Co. on Facebook and Instagram for information on how to win a branded grill in celebration of the launch.
