If you’re a fan of sipping on new stouts, here’s some news for you. Alpha Brewing is releasing four new ones on Black Friday.
Alpha tapping 4 new stouts on Black Friday
Traditionally, Black Friday has been the day millions seek out and gobble up as many bottles of Goose Island’s Bourbon County Stout. But, this year my plan is to park my butt, at a socially distanced table next to heater, and sip on four special small batch stouts going on tap at Alpha Brewing Company in south St. Louis.
Salted Peanut Butter Fudge
Vanilla Hazelnut
Barrel Aged Coffee
Mixed Berry
Owner and head brewer Derrick Langeneckert and his team used a variety of fruits, tinctures and nuts to create these new and exciting flavors.
Right now, I’m on a coffee stout kick, so I’m particularly interested in the Barrel Aged Coffee Stout. This beer is a collaboration with Urbania USA, local coffee purveyor. The coffee, made from green coffee beans, was aged in second use whiskey barrels for several months. It gives the coffee this maraschino cherry-like flavor. Can’t wait to find out how that translates into this new beer.
Swing by Friday after 2 p.m. and grab a pint for $6, or order a flight for $16.
