Article’s Writing Beer: 4 Hands Contact High Key Lime, Main St. 4204 Pecan
I was just perusing the guest list of the craft breweries taking part in this weekend’s second annual Craft on Tap and I do believe St. Louis beer lovers will be impressed.
Here are the out-of-town brewers I’m most excited to check out.
Louisville’s first brewer-owned brewery, is one of those brewery’s you’ve been dreaming of visiting. From the look of their website, they may be downright crazy. They have never producing the same beer twice. The brewers say this enables them to be consistently creative without ever getting too comfortable. I think no matter how good or bad their beer is, they may very well have the most creative beer names EVER!
Beers I hope they serve: Fast Thymes at Ridgemont Rye, The Wrath of the Krauth of Khan, Fresh Prince of Bel End, Boob’s Old 36 DD, Hold Me Closer, Thai-ny Danza.
This is the brewery that all my Danish friends have been talking about. Okay, I don’t have any Danish friends, but this Danish brewery, now located in NYC, is one of those I’ve been waiting and waiting to try. Currently, Evil Twin Brewing Company produces more than 60 types of beers in wide varieties of flavor.
Beers I hope they serve: Calypso Shiipaawl, Joey F***ing Pepper, Molotov Heavy, Start Me Up.
Lefthand Brewing Company
Left Hand Brewing is the 39th largest craft brewery in the United States. Famous for their Nitro series and America’s Stout – Milk Stout Nitro, Left Hand Brewing is also one of the most honored and recognized breweries in the state, with over 27 Great American Beer Festival medals, 11 World Beer Cup awards, and 9 European Beer Star awards.
Beers I hope they serve: Milk Stout Nitro, Wake Up Dead Nitro, Sawtooth Ale
Direct from Traverse City, Michigan, they are quickly being regarded as the state’s top brewpub due to it’s perfect combination of food and beer. Now in their 19th year brewing, North Peak has established themselves as THE Michigan brewery to try.
Beers I hope they serve: Diabolical IPA, Dunkel and Northern Light.
Odell Brewing is now the 34th largest craft brewery in the country distributing beer to just 11 states and a small amount into the UK. While the brewery crafts a variety of beers, its roots are built on British styles. Innovation and creativity meet balance, consistency and quality in each brew.
Beers I hope they serve: Drumroll, Easy Street Wheat, 5 Barrell Pale Ale.
There must be something special going on up in Traverse, Michigan. Two of their finest brewers will be pouring in Clayton. But no brewers beer has popped up on my UnTapped feed in recent weeks more than Jolly Pumpkins’s beers. Fun and quirky is how I’ve read folks describe this brewery’s products and mission.
Beers I hope they serve: Calabaza Blanca, Fuego del Otoño, Bam Biére.
