Three years ago, when creating the Millpond Brewing & Incubator in Millstadt, Illinois, owner Bryan L. Schubert wanted the brewery to be “a gathering place” for everyone. That, many would agree, he has succeeded in doing. That and some brewing some really tasty beer.
This weekend, Schubert and his team are celebrating their 3rd anniversary at the brewery with bottle and beer releases, live music, and delicious food.
Friday, September 30th (Noon – 11PM)
Starting Friday, Millpond is releasing an allocated amount of bottles of “Worth The Wear” their next Barrel-Aged Imperial. This is a big beer, clocking in with 12.5 ABV. A blend of Imperial Stout aged for 12 months in Blanton’s Barrels and Imperial Stout aged for 19 months in Willett Bourbon Barrels.
After the online sale, whatever is left over will be reserved for IN PERSON sales at the brewery when they open at 12pm on Sunday, October 2nd for their anniversary celebration. (Limit 2 please!) In addition to the 500ml (16.9oz) bottle release, we will also have a very limited amount on draft.
Sunday, October 2, 2022 (Noon – 7PM)
Also on Sunday, Millpond is releasing their 3rd Anniversary Beer, Drei.
“We took the Swath base of 50% Wheatwine aged for 18 months in Willett Bourbon Barrels blended with 50% Wheatwine aged for 18 months in Willett Rye Barrels then conditioned it on cognac staves adding another layer of complexity,” said Schubert. “This 3rd-anniversary beer was influenced by 3 different barrels.”
