This summer, I found myself on a mission to rediscover lagers. Lagers, for many, define the essence of beer. For us who grew up in the city that Anheuser Busch built, you know what I mean. Many a brewer has told me that lagers are the most difficult beers to brew because “you can’t hide any flaws.”
And while Lagers are a year-round beer, I think of them as a summer beer, due to how good they taste and feel on a hot summer day. But, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, one of the best lager makers in the region is ready to celebrate the style right now.
Lagerfest 2022

“Chat Lagers with UCBC Co-Founder + Brewmaster, Florian Kuplent, meet Markus Mann, Urban Chestnut Brewery Hallertau’s “2nd Brewmaster,”to hear about our brewing operations in Bavaria Germany, and mingle with some of the most respected names in Lager brewing,” writes the brewery on social media.
