Time to HOP again folks!

With over 40+ beers to try, guests can try everything from Schlaflyâs award-winning seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Ale and Oktoberfest to the festival beer, Tropical Sour, a fruited foeder beer, brewed exclusively for the event.
Additional beers are organized by the categories of style. Highlights from each respective selection include: Fruit (Boysenberry Cider and Tropical Saison); Experimental (Gin Barrel Gruit and Lemon Lime Mead Spritzer); Lager (The Eagle Has Landed American Lager and Randall of âMericah Lager); Traditional (Pale Ale and Kölsch); Hops (Hazy IPA and IPL); and Full-Bodied( Imperial Pumpkin Stout and Sâmores Stout).
For the specialty tappings, four beers will rotate throughout the day.
âIf anyone has attended HOP in the City, they know itâs one of my favorite events of the year,â said Founding Brewer Stephen Hale. Hale, known for elaborate HOP In The City costumes, will once again ring the ceremonial gong (in a different costume) to signal the start of a new specialty tapping.
âThe festival showcases the expansive talents of our brewing team. It is one of the only opportunities to try almost every style that we brew at Schlafly Beer in one place, which includes everything from hopped-up IPAs and wood-aged beers to traditional ales and lagers.â
In addition to the extensive beer offerings, live music will be playing throughout the event: The Samurai 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and The Scandaleros from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. There will also be festival fare available for purchase and merchandise featuring HOP in the Cityâs new logo. This year, additional community vendors will also be at the event including: Tower Grove Park, STLFC, STL Aquarium, Volpi, APA, Watering Bowl and more.
