The Inaugural Biére de Femme Festival STL is coming to St. Louis on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. This festival was conceived as a way to raise scholarship funds for the Pink Boots Society, which seeks to ASSIST, INSPIRE, and ENCOURAGE women beer professionals through EDUCATION as well as to showcase the amazing talent of the women in St. Louis brewing industry.
Participating breweries will bring a beer made in collaboration with a Pink Boots member specifically made for this festival.
All proceeds go to the Pink Boots Society Scholarship Fund to help women of the beer industry further their career through education.
The Festival will take place at Third Wheel Brewing in St. Peters.
Tickets are $35 and include a commemorative tasting glass, available online at the Biere de Femme Facebook Page or Eventbrite
Biére de Femme originated in Asheville, NC and the most recent festival had over 300 attendees and more than 50 breweries. This is the first time the festival will be held outside of North Carolina.
Organizer Megan Eplin, Assistant Brewer at Third Wheel Brewing, was inspired to bring the festival to the Midwest after attending the Pink Boots Conference in Austin, TX.
Eplin says “I heard about this festival and I was so inspired by the passion. I caught their passion to lift women up and help each other reach new heights in their career through education.” She hopes to grow the festival in order to show off the talent of women in not only Missouri but the greater Midwest.
