It has been our goal at Drink314 to keep politics out our writing. Â But in this case, we feel it imperative to stand up and shout from the top of lungs, that in this particular case, the United States Senate got it right, when in 2007, they declared September as National Bourbon Heritage Month.
And in honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month, Gamlin Whiskey House is opening its whiskey vault and releasing a set of rare bourbons, including sampling from their expansive hand-selected single barrel whiskey program.
The Bourbon Heritage Month menu includes the 1998 Russell’s Reserve, the John E. Fitzgerald Very Special Reserve and five varieties from the Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection.“Some of the bourbons we are featuring are incredibly hard to find,” Gamlin Whiskey House Proprietor Lucas Gamlin says. “In some cases, there may only be a few bottles in the whole state. This is a great opportunity for bourbon fans to sample something different from their favorite distillery, or enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime taste of a unique bourbon.”
“Bourbon is part of our country’s history with family recipes and traditions that have been unchanged for generations,” Gamlin Whiskey House Proprietor Derek Gamlin says. “This month is a chance for us to honor this tradition and a spirit we all appreciate.”

Missouri Whiskey Society members will receive a 10 percent discount on these selections throughout September. There will also be special offers released through Gamlin Whiskey House’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds throughout the month.
Lifetime memberships to the Missouri Whiskey Society are available for $35 each at Gamlin Whiskey House.
