Schlafly Beer will be issuing refunds of the ticket price to the original form of payment to ticket holders soon.
“We are grateful for the support of Schlafly Bottleworks in offering to host this event benefiting the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild, and all their work to date in getting it organized. Perhaps we will try again for a future Craft Beer Hobnob Festival, so stay tuned,” said Wohlgemuth.
In the meantime, beer lovers can still celebrate Missouri craft beer during Show-Me Craft Beer Month happening throughout June.
Show Me Craft Beer Month
Throughout the month of June, the Guild will showcase member breweries and highlight the collective efforts of craft brewing across the state of Missouri.
The Show-Me Craft Beer Month includes various events and activities throughout the month such as:
- A proclamation from Governor Parson declaring June as Show-Me Craft Beer Month
- Release of the Guild’s second quarter Missouri Loves Company® collaboration series – a West Coast-style IPA
- The 3nd Annual Missouri Pint Day on June 21
- Flight and growler/crowler specials from breweries throughout the Show-Me State
- New MO Beer Gear merch releases throughout the month
The Show-Me State has more than 160 craft breweries in operation. These breweries and brewpubs are small businesses that have a big impact on the state. According to the Brewers Association, a national non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and protecting American craft brewers, the craft brewing industry in Missouri employs more than 8,500 people and has a $1.3 billion economic impact.
Missouri craft beer production in 2022 topped out at 349,019 barrels which equates to roughly 11.3 million gallons – enough for every adult in Missouri over 21 years to enjoy 2.4 gallons of beer each. Members of the MCBG include breweries with small 1-barrel operations up to large, regional craft breweries producing more than 200,000 barrels – and everything in between.
