Millpond Brewing’s Body of Water series has always had a story behind the sip. It’s part local history, part beer geekery, and always rooted in the idea of community. Now that story takes a little trip south — way south — with the newest release, Bight, a double dry-hopped hazy IPA built entirely on Australian hops.
The name comes from the Great Australian Bight, a rugged stretch of coastline known for big surf and bigger views. Fitting, because this one’s got a whole lot of character in the glass.
A sip of summer in October
Bight is brewed with Enigma and Galaxy hops, two Aussie favorites known for bright fruit and tropical punch. Expect passionfruit, red berries, pineapple, and just enough stone fruit sweetness to keep it smooth. It’s soft, hazy, and hits all the right juicy notes without tipping into sugar-bomb territory.
Millpond’s Body of Water lineup has always used its names to set the mood — big bodies like Reservoir and Cenote for IPAs, smaller ones like Creek for pale ales. Bight fits right in: bold, balanced, and made to share.
Why you should check it out
Because Millpond keeps proving that great beer doesn’t need a gimmick.

And because when a small-town brewery finds inspiration halfway around the world, you can taste the adventure.
