For those aspiring to become Olympic athletes, there’s this credo:
“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered, but to have fought well.”
For those inspired to become beer Olympians, there are many credos, but we like this one best:
“Gulpius! Slurpius!! Burrpius!!!
You are now invited to create your own credo and have a friggin awesome time as an Olympic beer athlete at the 1st annual Beer Olympics hosted by Charleville Brewing Company and 21 Street Brewers Bar along with Modern Brewing Company and Six Mile Bridge Brewing Company. The games will be held July 30th.
To compete, you’ll need to assemble a 4 person team of expert beer drinkers. Entry is $20.00 per team.
Teams will compete in multiple games and beer challenges throughout the day including but not limited to: Bag toss Competition, Flip Cup, Red Rover, Three Legged Race, Keg toss, just to name a few!
There will be live music ( details to come) food on site, grilled burgers brats etc for purchase, and plenty of cold beer for guests and participants! The event is free to guests just there to watch!
