Intoxicology exposes the secrets of Kansas City’s Prohibition history

Do you love cocktails?  Do you love spirits?  Then please take the time to venture down to the Grove neighborhood and pop inside our cities first cocktail inspired shop.  I popped down to Intoxicology a few months back and have been meaning to write about them sooner, but darn it if the day job didn’t get a bit busier.

At Intoxicology you will be able to do my three favorite things, browse liquor, taste liquor and buy stuff to go with liquor.  The carry an nice selection of artisan spirits along with an extensive selection of books, barware, small batch bitters, shrubs and syrups. In addition, we have fantastic vintage glassware, pitchers, punch bowls, and trays.

“Our shop is the destination for cocktail enthusiast,” they write on Facebook.  “You will be educated and enlightened to the joys of a well crafted cocktail. We have carefully selected all the necessities to stock your home bar.”

I hope to soon be writing much more about home bars.

So for my debut story on this amazing cocktail lovers dream come true, I wanted to tell you about an event coming up next week that you might want to check out.
