Instead of battling for the title of most hippest and eclectic neighborhoods, St. Louis’ two most hippest and eclectic neighborhoods are joining forces for the fifth year in a row to bring our city what may be one the most unique events in years.
IndiHop 2016 harnesses the creative power of both Cherokee Street and The Grove, uniting both in the name of good taste and good beer.
All the fun is this Saturday, May 21st beginning at 1:00 p.m. and running till 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available online and cost just $25.00. With that ticket you are invited to sample up to 50 different beers, all locally brewed by your favorite St. Louis beer makers.
Here is how it works. Pick up your wristband and IndiHop tasting glass at the Will Call centers setup in both neighborhoods. On Cherokee Street go to the corner of Texas and Cherokee. In The Grove, you’ll find Will Call at the corner of Chouteau and Sarah. Oh, and don’t forget your ID. Even with a ticket and a wristband, you will not be allowed to participate if you don’t have proper ID showing you are of legal drinking age.
Participating businesses in both neighborhoods will provide a unique beer for your sampling quest. As you travel from venue to venue, enjoy entertainment by an assortment of live musicians, artists and street performers. Ready to hop to the next neighborhood? Board one of six IndiHop shuttles, running all day from 12:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m.

The Grove is a growing vibrant business and entertainment district along Manchester between Kingshighway and Vandeventer in St. Louis City. In the Grove you can find a diverse mix of independently owned restaurants, nightlife, retail, and services. It is also home to the premier nightlife in the area, and is a thriving center for the LGBT, artist, and cycling communities in the St. Louis area.
Cherokee Street is a vibrant center for commerce, culture, and creativity in St. Louis. An independent arts community, where a collective spirit prevails – of inclusiveness, collaboration, diversity and enthusiasm – fueled by a by-the-bootstraps DIY ethos. Named St. Louis’ Mexican-food mecca, Cherokee Street has a large concentration of Latino owned and operated bakeries, restaurants, shops and grocers.
