Biking, Boarding, and Brews: My Great Loves Meet the Bike & Brew Tour

Love. We all need love, right? For me, it’s more than just the obvious—my wonderful wife and the family she insists are mine. Beyond them, my heart belongs to a few other passions: biking, snowboarding, and of course, beer.

I’ve been cycling for years, and I can’t resist the feeling of freedom that comes from the wind in my face as I ride through the streets of St. Louis or on rugged trails. But in the winter, my focus shifts to snowboarding, carving mountainsides with the same exhilaration. These two activities, so different in seasons and scenery, hold something in common: they both pair beautifully with a well-earned beer.

That’s why when I learned about the upcoming Bike & Brew Tour, I knew I had to share it with my fellow beer lovers and biking enthusiasts. This event combines two of my great loves, offering the perfect opportunity to ride, explore, and indulge in some of the best brews our city has to offer.

On Saturday, October 26th, get ready for an 11-mile cycling adventure through St. Louis, with stops at some of the city’s finest breweries, including Perennial, Alpha, Earthbound, and Rockwell. The event kicks off at Earthbound Beer at noon, with roll-out scheduled for 12:30 sharp. Along the way, you’ll encounter surprise stops and even a bonus prize if you ride your bike to the event—because, really, why wouldn’t you?

The ride culminates at Rockwell Beer Co. from 4–5 pm, where the after-party will launch the official St. Louis Bicycle Benefits program. For just $30, participants will receive a Bicycle Benefits helmet sticker, granting year-round discounts at participating breweries and businesses. All proceeds support Great Rivers Greenway, an organization working tirelessly to make cycling safer and more accessible in St. Louis.

Day-of registration is available, and all forms of payment are accepted, so there’s no excuse not to join. Just remember to bring your bike, your helmet sticker, and of course, your adventurous spirit. This is a chance to celebrate the cycling community, enjoy fantastic local beers, and support a great cause—all in one afternoon.
