Everything You Need to Know About The Side Project Cellar’s Tenth Anniversary Week

Side Project Brewing, the internationally celebrated brewery known for its barrel-aged ales, is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its flagship location, The Side Project Cellar. From November 5-10, beer lovers are in for a treat as The Cellar marks this milestone with a week full of special beer releases, exclusive tastings, and a street celebration.

The Cellar, located at 7373 Marietta Ave, Maplewood, MO, has been a hub for fans of Side Project’s carefully curated collection of barrel-aged brews since it first opened in 2014. Over the years, the Cellar has become a mecca for craft beer enthusiasts, drawing visitors from all over the world. The brewery itself, founded by Cory and Karen King in 2013, has racked up numerous awards, including recognition as the second-best brewery in the world by RateBeer in 2019 and 2020. Its beer Double Barrel Derivation was recently named the highest-rated beer in the U.S. by Untappd Community Awards.

This tenth-anniversary celebration will be packed with special events and themed days, ensuring there’s something for every beer aficionado. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect each day of the Side Project Cellar Tenth Anniversary Week:

Tuesday, Nov. 5: Barleywine Night

  • Featured Debut: The Cellar Tenth Anniversary Barleywine
  • Starting at 3 p.m., attendees can sample the debut of The Cellar’s special anniversary barleywine, available on-site and to-go. Additional offerings include:
    • Shin Shin (2023) on draft
    • Debut of Triple IPA, a collaboration with Monkish on draft and in cans
    • Flim Flam (2022), a collaboration with Casita, on draft
    • For Alan, a collaboration with Hair of the Dog, featuring their only keg

Wednesday, Nov. 6: Old School Collab Night

  • Starting at 3 p.m., enjoy draft pours of Side Project’s last remaining kegs from collaborations with renowned breweries like:
    • Cycle Brewing
    • WeldWerks
    • Half Acre
  • Some of Side Project’s most-loved collaborations will also be available in bottles for on-site consumption.

Thursday, Nov. 7: TEN Day

  • Featured Debut: The Cellar Tenth Anniversary Stout
  • Starting at 3 p.m., The Tenth Anniversary Stout makes its debut for both on-site pours and to-go bottles. Additional highlights include:
    • Award-winning Beer : Barrel : Time from 2021-2023 on draft
    • The highly anticipated debut of Beer : Barrel : Time 2024

Friday, Nov. 8: Vanilla Day

  • Featured Debuts: Silent Barrel & O.W.K. 2023
  • Starting at 1 p.m., beer enthusiasts can enjoy the on-site debut of Silent Barrel, a brewer’s favorite, along with the draft debut of O.W.K. 2023. Both will also be available in to-go bottles.

Saturday, Nov. 9: Happy Tenth Anniversary to The Cellar

  • Street Celebration & Debut of 11 Candles
  • From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Side Project is taking the party outside, closing off part of Marietta Avenue for their Tenth Anniversary Street Celebration. Fans can enjoy beer tastings both indoors and outdoors, with food available from Beers & Bites by chef Adam Altnether.
    • Draft pours of Candles 6-11
    • At 3:30 p.m., the debut of Candles 11—available in both draft and to-go bottles throughout the day.

Sunday, Nov. 10: Sundays are for Stouts

  • Featured Debut: For The Cellar
  • Beginning at 1 p.m., the anniversary week concludes with the debut of For The Cellar, available on-site and in bottles to go. Additionally, Side Project will tap their last keg of the highly coveted O.W.K. 2018.
