Ideas for matching Missouri Vignole wines with just about any food

Vignoles is what is called a hybrid grape.  I was developed in the late 1920s by French grape scientist Jean Francois Ravat.  Originally planted in the Cote D’Or region of Burgundy in France, it has thrived in Missouri and has become one of our state’s most versatile white grapes.

According to Missouriwinecountry.com, Vignoles are used to produce wines ranging in flavor from dry to a sweet, late harvest dessert wine.

Vignoles’ give off a floral aroma mixed with and fruity flavors of citrus, pineapple and apricot.

But what food goes best with Vignoles?

The Missouri Wine and Grape Board recently asked the same question, and did all the work for us.   Use their handy guide to match up dishes with delicious, award-winning Missouri Vignoles!
