The company behind Ski soda has rolled out a new flavor near and dear to the taste buds of St. Louisans.
Excel Bottling Company in Breese, Illinois, has created a gooey butter cake flavored soda.
In case you’re not familiar, gooey butter cake is a St. Louis delicacy made mostly with eggs, cream cheese, and sugar.
It’s not clear exactly how Excel works those flavors into the soda. It’s not yet widely distributed, and I haven’t had a chance to taste it for myself yet.
I did conduct an unofficial twitter poll, and most of the voters aren’t feeling adventurous. More than 75 percent said they wouldn’t even try it.
